Tri-County Junior/Senior High School

The Tri-County cross country teams ran in the Rensselaer Sectional on Saturday morning and both teams have earned the right to run in this Saturday's New Prairie Regional! The top 5 teams advance along with the next 15 individual runners and the Lady Cavs finished 4th as a team and the boys team finished 3rd! Sophia Culp was the top finisher for the Lady Cavs finishing 10th in a time of 20:34. Finishing in the top 20 for the Lady Cavs were Olivia Overbeck 12th (20:48) and Mackenzie Burns 18th (21:40). Also scoring for Tri-County was Ella Schneider 27th (22:40) and Lucy Scherer 39th ( 24:25). Leading the way for the boys team was Connor Scheitlin finishing in 9th place in a time of 17:26. Joel Lehman and Eli Getz finished in the top 20 for the Cavaliers finishing in 16th (17:47) and 19th (18:14) respectively. Rounding out the scoring for Tri-County was Levi Lehman who finished in 28th place in a time of 18:40 and Daniel Szombathy who finished 32 with a time of 18:56. Congratulations to both teams and good luck in the New Prairie Regional on Saturday! The girls will run at 11;30 EST and the boys will run at 12:15 EST.
