Tri-County Junior/Senior High School

The Tri-County Cross Country teams participated in the Rensselaer Sectional this past Saturday with the girls team advancing to the New Prairie Regional as well as the four from the boys team. The girls team finished 2nd to Kankakee Valley with Sophia Culp leading the way finishing 7th with a time of 21:36. Mackenzie Burns came in 11th in a time of 22:04 while Maeven Hall (20th, 22:56), Gracie Stinson (30th, 23:44) and Gracie Scheitlin (31st, 23:48) also scored for the Lady Cavs. Ella Schneider finished in 34th place (24:12) and Alivia Pritts finished 40th (24:52) for the Lady Cavs. The Cavalier boys team finished in 7th place out of 14 teams competing in the sectional. Advancing to Saturday's Regional were Levi Schambach (28th, 18:53), Luke Lehman (32nd, 18:58), Tyler Burns (34th, 19:14) and Joel Lehman (38th, 19:24). Also running in this past week's sectional was Marion Sallee (42nd, 19:45), Levi Lehman (54th, 20:50) and Nathan Lehman (55th, 20:57). This coming Saturday's Regional will be held at New Prairie High School with the boys race beginning at 11:30 EST and girls running at 11:15 EST.
